DLA Piper has advised Holdingselskabet K90 on a minority investment in Nordstar Medical
DLA Piper advised Holdingselskabet K90, including Max Terpager and Else Marie Terpager, on a minority investment in Nordstar Medical.
Nordstar Medical is a Danish MedTech company specialising in opioid-free pain treatment. The company has developed an innovative catheter fixation technology that enables healthcare professionals to insert a peripheral nerve block catheter using only one hand.
The technology, which is expected to be launched on the market in 2027, makes the catheter significantly easier, faster and more reliable to use than existing alternatives. Despite the great potential, nerve blockade catheters are rarely used today due to their complexity and high failure rate – a barrier that Nordstar Medical aims to remove. The catheter can be inserted before or after surgery to deliver local anaesthesia directly to the relevant nerves, enabling effective pain control without the need for opioids.
With this investment, Nordstar Medical can continue its mission to revolutionise the post-operative pain treatment market without the use of opioids. The investment was completed on 29 July 2025.
Andreas Egeblad Arendt advised Holdingselskabet K90, including Max and Else Marie Terpager, on this investment.
